The Best Employers in the Middle East study, carried out by Hewitt Associates in collaboration with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation, aims to provide key insights for participating organizations into attracting and retaining talent in this region, honour the leading organizations in the Arab World as outstanding places to work, Understand the employee practices of The Best in order to create the definitive benchmark for all work practices in Middle East, and use the study findings to enable all stakeholders (governments, industry groups, organizations, etc.) in making the Arab World a better place to work. 

• The study examines various issues such as:
• Employee commitment and engagement
• The impact of various aspects like work environment, pay, benefits, career opportunities, policies, leadership, training & development, etc.
• Management practices geared towards nationalization
• Company policies related to recruitment, rewards, and employee retention
• Managing a large expatriate workforce and its imperatives on culture, work environment, pay, etc.
• Differences amongst worker demographics like gender, nationality, age group, skill sets, etc.

Scope of the 2009 Study: 

• The geographic coverage of the inaugural study was
  UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Jordan, Lebanon and Egypt
