Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation Explores Potential Partnership with Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry 

Lootah: Our aim is to motivate young people to develop their own businesses and start new ones 

Dubai: 4 July 2010 – The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoumn Foundation has received a representative delegation from the Youth Business Group of SharjYouth Business Group of SCCI during their visit to the Foundationah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) headed by Amer Eisa Al Amri. The guests were received by Sultan Lootah, Executive Director for Entrepreneurship at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation and Dr. Sulaiman Al Hattlan, CEO of the Arab Strategy Forum, the intellectual platform of the Foundation. 

Discussions focused on potential cooperation between the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation and Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, particularly in the area of entrepreneurship and how to encourage young people to take part in the economic growth through establishing and managing their own businesses. The Foundation officials briefed the guests on the Foundation’s objectives and achievements in the entrepreneurship sector.  

Sultan Lootah said, “The Entrepreneurship Development Sector at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation is aimed at developing future leaders and creating a knowledge-based society by promoting business excellence, empowering Arab entrepreneurs to innovate and facilitating job creation in the region.” 

“We are looking forward to working closely with the Youth Business Group of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. We have exchanged our views on how to motivate youth in the UAE to develop their businesses and establish new ones which will benefit the local economy,” Lootah added. 

The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation has tied up with several local and Arab institutions to devise programmes that help build a stronger knowledge-base and skill-set, and develop a generation that is equipped with the ability to face the challenges of sustainable development in the Arab World.
