Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation Hosts Delegation from Oxford University 

Dubai: 06 April, 2010 – The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Oxford University delegation visitFoundation today hosted a group of 15 MBA students, from Saïd Business School at Oxford Universirty, on a global study trip to the UAE. 

The guests were received by Sultan Lootah, Executive Director for Entrepreneurship Development and Saad Abbas, Acting Director for Human Capital Development at the Foundation. The visiting delegation was headed by Greg Novak, Founder of the Novak Druce Centre for Professional Service Firms at Oxford University and Oliver Shiell, Director of Development & Corporate Relations at Saïd Business School. The students were led by Tarek Domiaty, one of the beneficiaries of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation’s Scholarship Programme who is doing his MBA at Saïd Business School at Oxford Universirty in the UK 

The students were briefed about the Foundation, its strategy and programmes under Human Capital Development. They expressed significant interest in the Foundation’s programmes and measures that would help in tackling the challenges faced by the Arab World and  aid in driving the Arab World towards knowledge based economies. 

Sultan Lootah said: “We are glad to host students from a well respected academic institution such as Oxford University. During the visit, we focused on possible areas of collaboration, especially in knowledge-intensive sectors that may require support from leading educational institutions. This visit is in line with our endeavour to empower the future leaders of the Arab World through building alliances with countries and organizations that lead to tangible outcomes.” 

The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation has entered into partnerships with top-tier regional and international universities to assist students in achieving their academic aspirations. Scholarships and other incentives are offered by the Foundation to promising students for pursuing higher studies under various initiatives.
