Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation Explores Potential Partnerships with the Chinese Consulate-General in Dubai

Dubai, 7 July 2010  – Adel Al Shared, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation has received His Excellency Gao Youzhen, Consul-General of the People’s Republic of China in Dubai. The meeting was attended by Sultan Lootah, Executive Director for Entrepreneurship Development, Saad Abbas, Acting Director for Human Capital Development at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation. 

Discussions focused on potential cooperation between the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation and the Chinese Consulate in Dubai, and the possibility of launching joint programmes that will promote cultural exchange between China and the Arab World. 

Foundation officials briefed the Chinese guests on the Foundation’s mission and objectives and its main accomplishments in providing Arabs with opportunities to guide the region towards knowledge economy. 

Adel Al Shared said: “We are pleased to receive the Chinese delegation today. The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation is looking forward to joining hands with Chinese entities that share our values.” 

“We look forward to seeing these partnerships materialize into joint projects that will help promote academic, knowledge and cultural exchange between China and the Arab World,” Al Shared added. 

The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation has tied up with several regional institutions to devise programmes that help build a stronger knowledge-base and skill-set, and develop a generation that is equipped with the ability to face the challenges of sustainable development in the Arab World.
