Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation
The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation has been launched with an endowment of US $10 billion, as a personal initiative of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The launch of the Foundation was one of the key highlights of the speech given by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, during the World Economic Forum on the Middle East 2007, which took place at the Dead Sea, Jordan.
Under three strategic sectors: Culture, Entrepreneurship and Employment, and Knowledge and Education, the Foundation aims to develop the knowledge and human capabilities of the Arab World, to introduce a future generation of regional leaders.
